Replace Plastic helps local retail businesses reduce plastic bags in their stores. The objective is to replace plastic with reusable bags in a manner that would limit extra cost to the businesses.

ORGANIC COTTON BAGS

You can order organic cotton bags with logo to sell for $1. Email us to inquire about your cost based on volume.

MESH PRODUCE BAGS

You can order mesh produce bags to sell for 2 for $1 through us.

PAPER BAGS

We will drop off paper bags collected by Reduce Waste Chicago when available.

Better yet, you can allow customers to bring back plain paper bags for reuse. Not putting your logo on paper bags means that your customer can bring back any paper bags for reuse, and you won’t have to put grocery in your competitor’s paper bag. These Paper bags will be free to customers. You may want to charge 10 cents for new plain paper bags.

BOXES
Depending on the products you sell, some stores offer boxes for customers to carry their purchase home.

EDUCATION

We have been presenting on the health impact of plastic and plastic alternatives at libraries and senior centers. Be sure to contact us to schedule a local presentation.
